The Giant Book Sale is back! Join in this beloved tradition and shop for a good cause on Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, April 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Lane Events Center (Fairgrounds) Performance Hall. Admission and parking are free.
Proceeds from this all-volunteer project help support Eugene Public Library. Funds go to purchasing borrowable books and other items, Summer Reading gift books for children and teens, and events and activities for all ages from storytimes to job searching.
Shoppers can browse thousands of gently-used and like-new books, most at the bargain price of only $2. Choices include fiction and nonfiction in paperback and hardcover, all genres, recent bestsellers, and rare and specialty books. Also for sale will be DVDs, audio books, music books, music CDs, novelties, and a large selection of children’s books, DVDs, and CDs.
The sale accepts cash or major credit and debit cards. Please bring your own bag or box to carry your treasures away. Members of the Friends of Eugene Public Library will be offered an early admission opportunity on Saturday, April 12th at 8:00 a.m.
The Book Sale is the Friends of Eugene Public Library’s major fundraiser each year. Over 400 volunteers work on the Book Sale, many year-round.
Note to shoppers about entry times
If you come to the Book Sale after noon on Saturday, or anytime on Sunday, you can walk right in. Or if you want to be among the very first to enter, here are two ways to do that:

This early-access event will take place between 8:00a.m.-9:00a.m. on Saturday April 12th only, prior to general admission of the public at 9:00am.
ONLY current dues-paying members of the Friends of the Eugene Public Library will be approved for early entry. A membership allows two (2) people entry into the sale (unless you have a family membership).
To participate, you must pay current membership dues for calendar year 2025 (with a minimum of $25 of dues paid prior to the start of the sale in April 2025).
We will NOT require an e-ticket in advance. We will confirm membership via list at the door. You must have a member present, who is named on the membership roster, to receive early entry access. A single guest may accompany a dues-paying member who is confirmed on the membership list (unless you have a family membership). If you are not on the list, you will either have to renew your 2025 membership or change to the general admission queue.
General admission for those who arrive without a membership will queue for the regular 9:00 am entry time at the front door, the standard entry time for the sale.
